Senior Mental Health Support Worker (Days & Nights)
Location:
Droylsden, Manchester
Pay: £15.00 per hour (£16.50 overtime)
Hours: Full-Time – 38.5 Hours Per Week (8am-8pm & 8pm-8am, 2-week rolling rota)

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

What You’ll Be Doing

  • As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll combine hands-on care delivery with leadership responsibilities, including:
  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred mental health care
  • Acting as a role model, setting standards for best practice
  • Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day running of the service
  • Supervising and mentoring Support Workers, including induction and development
  • Supporting care planning, risk assessments, and clinical documentation
  • Promoting recovery through meaningful activity, independence, and social inclusion
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Supporting a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working within a mental health or rehabilitation setting
  • Experience supporting or leading others (or ready to step into a senior role)
  • A strong understanding of person-centred, recovery-focused care
  • Confidence in decision-making and leadership
  • A compassionate, resilient, and positive approach
  • A passion for making care a long-term career
