Location: Bamber Bridge
Hours: 30 hours per week on average
Salary: £14.50 per hour
Shift Pattern: Two-week rolling rota, with every other weekend off

Active Pathways is delighted to be recruiting for a passionate Head Housekeeper to join our residential and inpatient service mental health service, Brookhaven & The Hamptons in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire. Brookhaven provides a safe and supportive home for males and females with enduring mental health needs, whilst The Hamptons provides a specialist therapeutic, recovery-focused in-patient care environment for men with complex mental health needs.

This is an incredibly varied and rewarding role where you will lead by example, ensuring our service maintains the highest cleanliness, hygiene, and catering standards.

Your Role as a Head Housekeeper:

• Supervising and supporting the housekeeping team to create a seamless and efficient service.
• Ensuring all cleaning and infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe and welcoming home environment.
• Managing stock levels, placing orders, and conducting monthly stock checks.
• Creating rotas and carrying out staff supervisions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Upholding the highest Health & Safety, COSHH, and hygiene standards.

• Experience in housekeeping within a health and social care setting.
• A strong understanding of managing a team, supervision, and rota planning.
• Knowledge of stock ordering, control, and compliance.
• A passion for creating a homely environment that promotes dignity and well-being.

Brookhaven is a 23-bed mixed-gender open rehabilitation service for adults aged 18+, offering recovery-focused care and support for enduring mental health needs. Next door, The Hamptons is a 14-bed purpose-built inpatient rehabilitation hospital supporting men with complex mental health needs in a secure, structured environment.
