Location: Bamber Bridge, Preston
Pay: £13.45 per hour with overtime paid at £14.95 per hour
Hours: Part-Time – 77 Hours Per Month - 07:45am – 19:45pm shifts

• Week 1: Wednesday & Thursday
• Week 2: Saturday & Sunday
• Week 3: Friday
• Week 4: Monday & Tuesday

Active Pathways is delighted to be recruiting for a compassionate part-time Mental Health Support Worker (Days), to work at our mixed gender residential service, Brookhaven and our male only inpatient hospital, The Hamptons, in Bamber Bridge on a part-time basis totalling 77 hours per month.

Brookhaven provides a safe and supportive home for males and females with enduring mental health needs, whilst The Hamptons provides a specialist therapeutic, recovery-focused in-patient care environment for men with complex mental health needs. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to OUTSTANDING person-centred, therapeutic, recovery-focused care.

As a Support Worker, you will: 

• Provide person-centred care in a rehabilitation setting.
• Help residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals.
• Support residents with meaningful daily activities and community engagement.
• Assist with emotional, social, and practical needs.
• Work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent support.
• Promote independence, self-confidence, and relapse prevention strategies.
• Encourage and support access to education, employment, and leisure opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working within a mental health or rehabilitation setting is essential.
• Confidence in building rapport with residents and the wider team.
• A strong understanding of person-centred, quality care.
• A positive, supportive approach with a focus on recovery and inclusion.
• Experience of working with a range of mental health diagnosis and challenging behaviour.

Next door, The Hamptons is a 14-bed purpose-built inpatient rehabilitation hospital supporting men with complex mental health needs in a secure, structured environment.
