Mental Health Support Worker (Nights - Part Time)

Role: Mental Health Support Worker (Nights)
Service: Mental Health Rehabilitation – Brookhaven & The Hamptons
Location: Bamber Bridge, Preston
Pay: £13.45 per hour with overtime paid at £14.95 per hour
Hours: 27.5 hours per week, between 7:45pm – 7:45am. 

Active Pathways is recruiting a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join night shift team at our complex Mental Health service in Bamber Bridge.This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced mental health professional to play a vital role in supporting individuals with enduring complex mental health needs to lead independent, fulfilling lives.

As a Support Worker, you will: 

• Provide person-centred care in a rehabilitation setting.
• Help residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals.
• Support residents with meaningful daily activities and community engagement.
• Assist with emotional, social, and practical needs.
• Work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent support.
• Promote independence, self-confidence, and relapse prevention strategies.
• Encourage and support access to education, employment, and leisure opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 12-months care experience 
• Experience in a mental health or rehabilitation setting
• Experience of supporting individuals living under a legal framework
• Confidence in building rapport with residents and the wider team.
• A strong understanding of person-centred, quality care.
• A positive, supportive approach with a focus on recovery and inclusion.

Brookhaven is a 23-bed mixed-gender open rehabilitation service for adults aged 18+, offering recovery-focused care and support for enduring mental health needs. Next door, The Hamptons is a 14-bed purpose-built inpatient rehabilitation hospital supporting men with complex mental health needs in a secure, structured environment.
