South Grove House - Autism & Mental Health

Full-Time Day Shifts – 38.5 Hours Per Week
£12.60 per hour / £25,225.20 per year
7:45am – 7:45pm shifts on a two-week rolling rota

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

As a Support Worker, you will: 

  • Provide person-centred care in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Help residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals.
  • Support residents with meaningful daily activities and community engagement.
  • Assist with emotional, social, and practical needs.
  • Work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent support.
  • Promote independence, self-confidence, and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Encourage and support access to education, employment, and leisure opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a mental health or rehabilitation setting.
  • Confidence in building rapport with residents and the wider team.
  • A strong understanding of person-centred, quality care.
  • A positive, supportive approach with a focus on recovery and inclusion.

About South Grove House

South Grove House provides tailored, person-centred residential care and support for men aged 18+ whose primary diagnosis is autism. Many of the individuals we support also have complex and challenging mental health conditions, which can often be accompanied by a history of substance misuse (drug and/or alcohol use).

The service is designed for those transitioning from hospital settings or stepping up from supported living or other residential care, helping them to develop independence and life skills in a safe, structured, and empowering environment. Our approach is centred on Positive Behavioural Support, structured routines, and personalised care plans, helping residents build confidence and thrive in their daily lives.
